Sea route

The tour starts off at the village of Lachania.

We first cycle through the narrow streets and the square, where we can see a typical Greek village and its local architecture.

We then enter an off-road section that leads to the abandoned Italian village of St Mark (1920). We stop to visit buildings of the era and to learn about the history of the place.

We then follow a mostly flat dirt road and head to a small church dating from the 15th century which is characteristic of Greek religious traditions and festivities.

The road then leads to a sandy beach with crystal clear waters, where those who feel tired can take a refreshing dip in the sea.
Those who want to continue will then follow an uphill route. Great scenery though is ample reward for all the effort. The team meets up again at the beach where we have lunch to fuel our ride back.
